Meet Mr. Sawchuk

Erik Sawchuk

Pottsgrove School District is pleased to introduce Mr. Erik Sawchuk as the Lower Pottsgrove Elementary School Assistant Principal. Mr. Sawchuk is back at Lower Pottsgrove Elementary after spending the 2022-23 school year serving as the Dean of Students at Pottsgrove Middle School. Prior to joining the middle school, Mr. Sawchuk worked at Lower Pottsgrove Elementary as an Instructional Support Team Specialist and a fifth-grade teacher. At both buildings, he played a big role in the implementation of the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) which makes sure students are provided with the appropriate tools for academic and life-long success, and Positive Behavior Interventions and Systems (PBIS) which is a research-based framework for teaching and supporting positive behaviors for all students.

Mr. Sawchuk is thrilled to make his return to Lower Pottsgrove Elementary School as a building administrator. He is looking forward to coming back to the place he started his career 17 years ago and continuing to serve our district and community with the amazing school staff.
